Southwest Mixed Martial Arts Association, Inc. (“SWMMA”) is incorporated in order to educate the public about and promote Amateur Mixed Martial Arts through the sanctioning of competitive events. SWMMA will educate current and prospective amateur fighters of the risks associated with competitive Amateur Mixed Martial Arts competition, and provide them with a safe and controlled environment where these fighters can gain not only proper safety training, but also valuable experience in the ring while participating in sanctioned amateur competition. In their sanctioning of amateur competition, SWMMA will follow all proper protocols established by the Texas & New Mexico Athletic Commisions. It is the goal of SWMMA to prepare amateur fighters for national competition at the professional level by providing them with access to sanctioned amateur competition in the state of Texas & New Mexico, and to advocate proper safety training for fighters participating in these competitions. Southwest Mixed Martial Arts, Inc.  is also a registered non-profit  501c3.
